Summer (November to April)
During the summer months the landscape is lush and green. It will be hot and humid with temperatures averaging 25 to 30 degrees and there can be occasional thunderstorms.
Many species will birth their young in those months and lots of migratory birds will be present.
Winter (May to October)
During the winter months there is less foliage and water, so the game will concentrate around the little water that is left making those months easier for game viewing.
It will be drier and cooler with temperatures that can reach as low as 3 degrees at night and a comfortable 24 degrees during the day.
What to pack
Comfortable cotton clothing in natural colors like green, browns and khakis during the safari is recommended.
Warmer clothes for the very cold mornings and evenings during the winter months.
To ensure a comfortable safari experience, we recommend that you bring sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and swimsuit.
Binoculars and good cameras are a must for the best experience!
